Very Flat Race – Aiguebelette, France – Alpine Lake Tour 2017
The second stage of the Alpine Lakes Tour 2017 took place last saturday on Lake Aiguebelette, a quite lake part of a natural reserve where motor boats are forbidden. It’s famous for its rowing events, the world rowing championships took place there in 2015. The reason ? It’s so flat ! That’s why this stage is called « the Very Flat Race ».
The natural reserve regulations set a limit of 100 competitors for events on Lake Aiguebelette. The tickets were sold out in 3 days 2 months before the event.
