Sup Surfing Skookumchuck Tidal Wave, BC (Canada)

Long time surfed by kayakers, Skookumchuck tidal wave could well become the iconic river wave for river supers! Skookumchuck translated is strong water. It is one of the largest tidal bores on earth and has created a super charged ecosystem that delivers one of the greatest surf waves of all time because of its size, predictability, and deliverance of single surfs that can be hours long. I traveled over 3000 miles by RV, ferry, and onewheel to arrive at Skookumchuck and this surf is the highlight of a single ride on the wave that was over 15 minutes long.
