It’s an easy sell. New

confused by the number of

that it is easier for everybody

The Pyranha Fusion has beneited from being among the irst modern
crossover kayaks available,
taking design cues and features from our Pyranha whitewater range and mixing in
features from our P & H sea kayak and Venture touring ranges. Solid, dependable and drier hatches, a proven skeg design and balanced
performance in a variety of water conditions have helped the Fusion appeal to paddlers new and old in many countries.
We’ve had great success with it, not only in North America, but also the UK and Germany in particular, with many other countries picking
up on its versatility. In the UK, we have been particularly successful as we have varied water available, from canals to the sea, from
placid rivers to technical whitewater--almost all of which can be enjoyed with a Fusion.
Some manufacturers have been successful in the USA but not in other countries and we feel that’s because some designs are too
whitewater focused so don’t have the same all round ability and therefore don’t appeal as much to many newcomers into our sport. The
Fusion remains probably the leader after 5 years because it’s the most versatile of its genre.
It’s amazing how paddlers have taken the versatility of the Fusion to heart and have dreamt up adventures even we didn’t think about.
Paddlers have sent us videos and still images of them paddling it all over the world. Demshitz took Fusions down the Grand Canyon,
and we’ve seen amazing video of these boats rock-hopping of the West Coast of California. Ian McCluskey used Fusions to retrace
the epic 1930s journey of Les Voyageurs Sans Trace. We’ve seen them touring the English Lakes and doing source to sea trips in
Scandinavia. We know paddlers will ind many new ways of enjoying crossover boats over the coming years and to complement that
we’ll be introducing the new Fusion sit-on-top before the end of the year. This really will open up the crossover market to a whole new
group of paddlers.
At Pyranha we feel that for a paddler who wants one kayak to enjoy everything a country like Britain has to ofer, Fusion / a crossover
boat is a great choice, and clearly our customers who are recommending their friends to buy one think so as well.
